Introduction of shares from the Share Capital Increase Following the Exercise of the Stock Option Plan (14/01/08)

Greek Postal Savings Bank S.A. announces than on January, 17th, 2008 commences the trading of 1.366.212 new common registered shares of the Company on the Athens Exchange, deriving from the recent share capital increase of 5.054.984,40 Euros, due to the exercise of the Stock Option Plan by two members of the Board of Directors (that represent the employed personnel, as per article 12 of the Bank's Corporate Charter), members of the Company's staff and staff of its affiliated companies, reaching in total 1.135 persons, at the issue price of 3,70 Euro, according to Resolution of the First Repeat Extraordinary General Assembly of the Shareholders on April 18th, 2007, as well as decisions of the Board of Directors of November 23rd 2007, December 20th and 21st, 2007.



The above increase, that does not involve direct amendment of the Corporate Charter, was certified by the Company's Board of Directors on December 21st, 2007. The respective decision was submitted to the Ministry of Development, Credit and Societe Anonymes Division, Corporate Banking Department (with protocol No. Κ2 18441/21.12.2007 document) so as to be recorded in the Societe Anonymes Registry of the Ministry of Development.



The ATHEX Board of Directors in its session on January, 10th, 2008 approved the introduction for trading of the above 1.366.212 new common registered shares of the Company. The above new common nominal shares of the Company will be trading on ATHEX on January, 17th 2008. As of the same date, the starting price of the Company's shares on ATHEX will be formed according to the ATHEX Regulation and the new shares will be credited to beneficiary shareholders' securities accounts of the Dematerialized Securities System (D.S.S.)
